If you don’t want to use the My Mtn app, you can always stop your auto-renewals on data bundles by calling the MTN call center.  You can easily do this by calling 180 on your mobile phone. Listen to the welcome message from Zigi, then press ‘1’ on your phone. Listen to the instructions and press ‘ 2’. Then press ‘2’ again after listening to the second set of instructions.  You will hear a message saying you have successfully canceled your auto-renewal.

3. Canceling Auto-Renewal via Web

If you don’t want to cancel those the means listed above, you can always cancel your auto-renewal via the web. Canceling it via the web is pretty easy. All you need to do is go to MTN smart web. Once you have done this, go ahead and input your phone number and click proceed.  You should receive an OTP after a couple of seconds. Input the OTP and open the homepage of the website.

Scroll to <my subscription> section and click on <data bundle>. Once you click on it, you should see the option to turn off your auto-renewal button. Click on turn off, and you are good to go. Using the web feature, you have successfully turned off your auto-renewal on your data plans.

4. Turning Off Auto-renewal through the SMS Feature

This is one of the easiest methods you can always use to turn off your auto-renewal. You can turn off your auto-renewal in a matter of seconds by simply sending command codes to 312.  If you use a regular data plan, you can send <no code> to 312. This will automatically cancel your auto-renewal.
