The MTN night browsing plan, MTN nightlife bundle, or MTN night plan, which everyone you prefer to call it, is one of the best data offers for Nigerians who love to spend time on the internet to check out the latest trends on Instagram, download games or apps on your AppStore, and even download videos on Youtube, FZmovies, and o2tvseries.
The MTN night plan is very cheap and reliable. You typically get 500MB for ₦50, it used to be 250MB for ₦25 and ₦50 for 500MB, but MTN made adjustments, so now it is ₦50 for 500MB. You can even purchase up to 2GB of night browsing data in one night.
MTN Nigeria has, once again, shown Nigerians how generous it can be. To use the MTN night plan, you must be on the MTN pulse tariff plan. This new Night Data Plan allows subscribers to browse the internet free from 11 pm to 6 am daily. It’s aimed at people working on their laptops and tablets at night, students who want to do some last-minute research or anyone who just wants to take advantage of no-data charges during the “off-peak hours.”

However, the MTN night plan is limited. MTN subscribers enjoy some of the fastest networks and bandwidth that allows you to enjoy smooth surfing as long as your data is running.

HOW TO REQUEST FOR MTN NIGHT PLAN VIA USSD CODE
You can alternatively request an MTN nightlife bundle using the USSD code. It works like the SMS method above, so you don’t need to worry, your data will be allocated to you if you use USSD or SMS. I use the USSD code provided by MTN to request for data anytime I need one.
If you want to request 250MB using USSD, simply dial *406*3*1*1#, and your account will instantly be credited with 250MB valid from 11 pm, and 6 am. You will also receive a confirmation message that acts as a receipt for your purchase.
If you want to subscribe to the 500MB night plan using USSD, simply dial *406*3*2*1#, and your account will instantly be credited with 500MB that can only be used between 11 pm, and 6 am.

Set the time and date to when you requested a night plan, and you’ll be able to detect how much data your phone has used.
How to Cancel MTN Night Plan?
Once you subscribe to the MTN Night plan, your subscription becomes active and cannot be reversed. Once you get the activation successful message, you cannot cancel your purchase. The good thing is that this plan does not auto-renew after that night, you will have to manually activate it to get night browsing data.
Is MTN Night Plan good?
I think the MTN night plan is an excellent offer for customers, especially students and small agencies who want to reduce the amount they spend on data and increase the time they spend on the internet. But I’m not a big fan of night browsing.
One of the most significant disadvantages of the MTN night plan is losing sleep and staying late on the internet. If you use this plan from 11 pm to 6 am, you will sleep late, and when you wake up, you’ll wake up with a very annoying headache.
Another con of using the MTN nightlife bundle is that the plan is limited. The maximum data available to an MTN customer is a 2GB subscription per night.
If it were unlimited, then maybe staying up all night is worth it. That aside, the MTN night plan is the best option if you plan to get big data at a super low cost.
