It is important to note that for this route, many unidentified/unregistered vehicles pick up passengers from AYA roundabout, all the way up to Nyanya Bridge.

They’re much cheaper, however, the seating arrangements are usually not ideal for your comfort and safety. Moreover, they are not the safest or trustworthy as they’re unregistered, so I wouldn’t advise you to use any of them.

Bus Travel Tips for travelling from Abuja to Jos

1)Convenience: It is advisable to choose a bus terminal that is the closest tour location in Abuja.

2)Preference: Plateau Riders use 7-seater minivans, and Blue Whales uses 18-seater buses. If you are in a bit of a hurry, you may prefer to travel these distances with a mini-van. This is because if you happen to be the first person at the terminal, waiting for six other people feels easier than waiting for 17 others.

3)Time Taken: On average, it takes 4 hours to ply the Abuja-Jos route. You can add an extra 30 minutes if the driver is slow. Also, add an extra hour for the time it’ll take you to wait to fill up the minivan with other passengers if you’re not the last passenger. And also the time it’ll take for you to get to and from home to the park and vice versa.

4)Leave for the park early as this will do you a lot of good: Most road travellers tend to leave early, so the vehicle fills up faster in the morning. For instance, you might think because it is a short trip, which is not. Then you decide to leave your house by 2 pm, but you will be shocked to find out how long you will wait for your bus to be full except you are the lucky last passenger. And it is not ideal to bank on that slim chance.
