History Of Union Bank
Union Bank is one of Nigeria’s most vital, well-trusted, and oldest banks. Union Bank of Nigeria has a long and illustrious history that dates back to 1917 when it opened its doors for business as a colonial bank. In 1925, it was acquired by Barclays and renamed “Barclays Bank Dominion,” colonial and overseas, remaining until the early 1970s.

In 2005, it absorbed the former affiliate Union Merchant Bank and raised capital from shareholders through a suitable issue.
Union Bank is a large commercial bank serving individuals, small and medium-sized companies, and large corporations and organizations.
