Early Life
Azeez Fashola, widely known as Naira Marley was born on the 10th day of May 1991 in Agege, Lagos State to the family of Mr and Mrs Fashola. At the age of 11, he relocated with his parents to England, where he was enrolled in Porlock Hall and later in Walworth school where he obtained a certificate in secondary education.

Career
Naira Marley who fuses pidgin with Yoruba in his Afrobeats and hip-hop tracks began singing in 2014. In 2015, he released his debut EP titled “Gotta Dance”.

Over the years, Naira Marley has been caught in the web of several controversies. This started with his arrest by the EFCC for his involvement in internet fraud, popularly known as Yahoo Yahoo. He was arrested along with his friend and fellow musician, Zlatan Ibile who was later released with Rahman Jago and other suspects.
